I love how quick and easy this recipe is to make. The ingredients are simple and you could easily pre-cook the crispy bacon the day ahead. Make sure you give it a good stir when it's done to spread the sweet sauce over all of the green beans and bacon.

- canned green beans - or you can cook green beans as a substitute.
- bacon - you can use regular or thick-cut bacon in this recipe. You can even use turkey bacon!
- Brown sugar - the sweetness of the brown sugar, combined with the soy sauce is delicious!
- Garlic powder
- Melted butter
- Soy sauce - use your favorite brand.

Drain canned green beans and place in 9x13-inch casserole dish (no need to grease the baking dish).

In a separate small bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce and garlic powder.

Pour over green beans. Top with cooked bacon.
Bake in 350°F oven for 40 minutes.

Ingredients
4 14 oz.. cans green beans (depending on the size of your can, I used 42 oz. total)
12 strips bacon, cook until slightly crispy
⅔ cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons, plus one teaspoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Instructions
- Cook bacon over medium heat, just until crispy. Drain and set aside.
- Drain canned green beans and place in 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- In a separate small bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce and garlic powder.
- Pour over green beans. Top with cooked bacon.
- Bake in 350°F oven for 40 minutes.
Notes
Substitutions: You can easily substitute turkey bacon in this recipe.
Want to substitute fresh green beans? Absolutely! Simply boil green beans in water until crisp-tender, drain and proceed with recipe.
Variation: Add sautéed onions to mixture before baking.
Storage Instructions: Store cooled casserole, covered in refrigerator in airtight storage container for three to four days. Reheat, covered in foil in a 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes.
